Loren is a graduate of AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women and her Award Winning film, Cries from Ramah won several Best Film categories and qualified for the 79th Academy Awards. She is also the Director of The Wiz Kidz DVD (www.TheWizKidz.com) as well as her upcoming feature debut with Justin Shilton (Little Miss Sunshine, Aviator), Josh Alba (Dark Angel, Monk, and The Division) and Dennis Haskins(Saved by the Bell, Men of a Certain Age).

Loren’s teen actors have gone on to study in the drama programs of Milliken Middle School, Hamilton Performing Arts, Boston College, NYU, and Emerson College, as well as, her college students have been finalists in the Irene Ryan Awards.
Her teaching credentials include the All Children’s Theatre Ensemble and performing arts camps on the East Coast, StudiOne in Sherman Oaks and Glendale Community College.
Currently Loren is the Program Director for her Intentional Acting Program at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center where she teaches actors 8 to 98. Her young actors have participated in the West Hollywood Book Fair, North Hollywood Arts Scene, St. Francis Elementary School Fair and the Colfax Elementary School Fair among others. Loren has spoken at many of the local school Career Days, such as Providence High, Notre Dame High, The Buckley School, and Mayfield Senior School.
An Award-Winning Director.
Loren’s training began at the age of five as a dancer, actor, and musician. In college, she found her calling as a Director. Loren studied Shakespeare at Middlesex Polytechnic in London, England, and graduated with a Theatre Major (cum laude) from the University of San Diego, CA.
Theatre director, Anne Bogart – named one of the four greatest theatre directors of the 20th century – invited Loren to join her at the Conservatory of the Trinity Repertory Company, a Tony Award-winning theatre in Providence now known as the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium.
While in New England, Loren directed plays, to rave reviews, such as, a revival of Broadway’s The Kathy and Mo Show, Dario Fo’s We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!, and the Humanifest success, Keely and Du.
In Los Angeles, Loren was selected for the prestigious American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women, where she directed and produced her first film, Surprise.
Her award-winning film, Cries from Ramah, won “Best Short Film” at the Sedona International Film Festival, “Best of the Fest” at the Rochester International Film Festival and qualified for the 79th Academy Awards.
Loren is also the Director for The Wiz Kidz DVD www.thewizkidz.com and her feature debut, Creative Differences with Justin Shilton (Little Miss Sunshine, Aviator) Josh Alba (Dark Angel, Monk, The Division) Dennis Haskins (Saved by the Bell, Men of a Certain Age).
She has been an Observing Director on Boston Public, Providence, Strong Medicine, The Practice and General Hospital. Loren is also a directing member of Neo Ensemble Theatre. In 2000, her production of Juggling Scrod, produced by the Theatre of Hope, was nominated for seven awards, including Best Director, for the Valley Theatre League’s Artistic Director Awards.
In 2009, Loren was listed as one of the Best Acting Coaches in the United States in the book Showbiz: Illustrated Times and Lives of The Greatest Names in Cinema.
